The inaugural exhibition Maker’s Eye: stories of craft opened yesterday in the Crafts Councils new gallery space in London.
The exhibition showcases the largest ever presentation of objects from the Crafts Council Collection and I feel very proud that the piece ‘Bound’ has been included in the exhibition. My grateful thanks go to @matt smith, one of the 13 makers selected by the Crafts Council and tasked with the challenge of creating a ‘visual answer’ to the question: What does Craft mean to you? Referencing objects from the collection; ‘Bound’ formed part of his 'visual answer’.
Bound: Coiled and braised iron wire around a wooden core. L.175cm, W.20cm, H.12cm.
The exhibition runs to the 9th October 2021.
